THIS DRIVER IS DEEP TESTING THE CHEAPEST GOLF DRIVERS

Not sure if you will read this as the video is a few months old now, but I will ask anyway. I have just come back to golf after after over 10 years away and I'm using my old clubs, one of which is the original Nike Sasquatch SQ driver (not the sumo). I would love to know how that compares to a modern driver. I have just looked online and that driver seems to be as rare as hens teeth so not sure you will easily find one to test. Maybe it's a collectors piece :)

You could put it in the bag Mark after all you are sponsored by them, but to be honest I like the flat black finish on your newer one (turbo) better than the high gloss on that one, just for glare ☀️

I just don't understand why Cleveland isn't more popular. Just bought a mint 290 SL with the Miyazaki shaft on eBay (28,- € plus 6,- € shipping) and it performs really well. The other Cleveland clubs i own (Classic 270 Driver, Mashie Fairways and Hybrids, TA3 Gunmetal irons and a few wedges) are just as good as any other top brand; yet they seem to be a lot less desirable. Why is that?

For giggles Mark, you need to find a Yonex ADX 300 driver, I had one and it was pretty long for its day.
The Mizuno Forged T-Zoid Driver was a beast in its heyday.
The Taylor Made R7 was a heck of a stick back in the day too!

I sure like these tests against older clubs to todays standards , there were some seriously good designs that are still very good today!

I love seeing reviews of classic clubs, particularly since I still play some. In that regard, I'd love to see how my current driver, the Adams 9088 UL compares with modern drivers. It's always been a great club that has had to be forgiving because of my game (upper teens handicap). Seeing these videos always make me think twice about the need for spending hundreds on a new club when my scores may well be from my lack of skill/practice.

Golf clubs only cost a 'small amount' of money to make, as they are manufactured in such large numbers. And, the vast majority of the cost of a driver actually goes towards paying those professional golfers who put their name to them. Along with the 'massive costs' associated with global advertising.
